WHAT TO EXPECT from your first yoga class at Melt
YOGA CLOTHES
Wear comfortable clothing, shorts, leggings, tank top or workout top. Shoes are great for lots of things, but not for yoga. It’s a barefoot workout. We have space for you to hang and store your belongings while you’re on your mat. Please no heavy lotions or perfumes. Strong scents will interfere with everyone’s practice.
YOGA GEAR
Bring your own mat and towel. If you do not have a mat, you can use one of our community mats at the studio for an additional charge. Make sure you have plenty of water to stay hydrated.
YOGA ETIQUETTE
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to class time. Sign up for class here and check-in at the front desk when you arrive. When entering the yoga sanctuary, be silent and refrain from chatting. This space is for centering yourself and escaping the daily chaos of life. Silence your cell phone before class. If you need to leave for any reason, please do so before the final rest (savasana).
“I’ve been seeing Shannon every week for Pilates for over 10 years! I happened into a Pilates class with her before she opened Melt, and just kept going back to her. Shannon is the consummate professional trainer – concerned with your wellbeing and inspirational. She encourages you to try things you never imagined you would do, and will work with you to accomplish your goals. at Melt, she has created a space that is both motivating and a safe place to try something new.”
